SFB 747 - General Description
The central concern of this Collaborative Research Centre is the supply of processes and methods for the forming technical manufacturing of metallic micro compo-nents with comprehension of the essential aspects of the forming process - from substance development to com-ponent testing.
The research programme places the collaborative research centre on a broad field, ranging from component development and their optimisation to aspects of planning of the microform-technical manufacturing. To visualize the internal connectivities three views on the structure of the collaborative research centre were have been defined by means of which the collaborative research centre is depicted as a whole (figure 1). A demonstrator was defined as a subordinate element with which all project areas can explain their research progress in the forms of hardware, concept or virtual contribution. This is made possible immediately via the two other structure elements project structure and references in regard to content.
